St Hilda’s School students have maintained the school’s long-standing tradition of academic success, confirmed by the release of 2024 ATAR results.

Dear St Hilda’s School Community,

It is my privilege to commend our Class of 2024 as remarkable young women, who have shown great dedication to their studies and determination to meet and exceed their personal goals set throughout their senior years. I extend my sincere congratulations to our 2024 St Hilda’s School Graduates on their exceptional results in their QCE completion and ATAR results which were released today.

Year 12 graduates can decide whether to allow the School access to their ATAR result. We are appreciative of the significant number of Year 12 graduates who have enabled us to view their achievements. With the data available to us, I am pleased to share that:

  • Two students achieved an ATAR of 99.95, the highest possible result.
  • Three students achieved an ATAR above 99.9.
  • Seven students achieved an ATAR above 99.
  • 39% of St Hilda’s graduates achieved an ATAR of 95 or above.
  • 62% of St Hilda’s graduates achieved an ATAR of 90 or above.
  • 28 students were offered early entry degree places at a range of universities.

We also wish to celebrate some additional successes for the cohort:

QCE Achievement Awards:

  • Aileen Hu was named Queensland’s Outstanding Academic Achiever – Top of State.
  • Aileen Hu, Audrey Kuk and Judy Zhang were named as Distinguished Academic Achievers.
  • 14 students achieved a Certificate of Academic Commendation for achieving an A in at least six General subjects.
  • Seven students achieved Commendations, for 100/100 Subject Results in at least one General subject or General (Extension).
  • 15 students achieved 99/100 in at least one subject.
  • 14 students who studied six subjects received “A” and 15 students who studied five subjects achieved “A”.
  • 1 student studied 7 subjects and achieved “A” in each subject.
  • Collectively the cohort achieved 372 overall subject results of “A”.

It is with great pride that we share these outstanding results, which are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students to their studies.

It is important to remember that ATAR results are only one indicator of academic success at St Hilda’s School. In the Class of 2024, 38% of our Senior Girls graduated with a nationally recognised qualification.

Industry Pathways

  • 57 qualifications were studied by 53 Year 12 students in 23 different industry areas
  • 60% of Year 12 students completed a Diploma qualification
  • 28 Year 12 students gained an early offer to tertiary study, prior to ATAR release

Early University offers were received from a range of universities in Queensland and Interstate, for over 18 different Bachelor degrees. We look forward to learning more about graduate pathways when university offers are made.

We wish our 2024 graduates every success in their future endeavours and look forward to reconnecting and celebrating their achievements at the Scholars’ Assembly on Monday 3 February 2025. The Scholars Assembly will be immediately followed by a 2024 Graduates Afternoon Tea at 1pm in the Bev Philben Room.

To our parents, carers and staff, I share my deep gratitude for your support, encouragement and guidance of the girls throughout their educational journeys. Each member of our St Hilda’s School community has been instrumental in supporting our girls to develop as confident, creative and articulate young women.

Yours sincerely,
Mrs Virginia Warner
