We are thrilled to share the latest updates on the ongoing enhancements to our Boarding House facilities. As part of our commitment to providing a comfortable and modern living environment for our students, several key projects are in progress, promising to elevate the boarding experience to new heights.
Stage 2: Air Conditioning Installation
This break marks the completion of Stage 2 of our renovation plan, with the installation of air conditioning throughout Whitby House. This upgrade is a significant step forward in ensuring our boarders enjoy a consistently comfortable living environment, no matter the weather conditions. The installation of air conditioning will greatly enhance the day-to-day comfort of our students, contributing to a more pleasant and conducive atmosphere for study and relaxation.
Stage 3: Extending Comfort to McCulloch House
We are excited to announce that Stage 3 of our renovation plan will commence later in the year. This stage involves installing air conditioning in McCulloch House, which means that once this project is completed, the entire Boarding Precinct will be fully air-conditioned. This comprehensive upgrade will ensure that all our boarding students benefit from a modern and comfortable living environment, enhancing their overall well-being and academic performance.
Dining Room Renovation
In addition to the air conditioning projects, we are also focusing on improving our dining facilities. Over the Term 3 break, the Dining Room will undergo a significant renovation aimed at enhancing the dining experience for our boarders. The renovation will include updating the layout and aesthetics of the dining area to create a more inviting and functional space for meals and social gatherings. Furthermore, we are upgrading the commercial dishwasher to reduce noise levels in the dining area, making it a more enjoyable place for students to dine and converse.
Future Plans: Music Space Transformation
Looking ahead, we have engaged architects to explore exciting opportunities for renovating the music space that has recently been incorporated into the boarding precinct. This area includes a large, sunny section facing the front of the school grounds, as well as three classroom spaces located underneath Whitby House. Our vision is to transform these spaces into vibrant, multifunctional areas that will benefit our boarders and enhance their overall experience. The transformed music space will provide an excellent environment for creative pursuits and communal activities, further enriching the boarding experience.
