Across the September holidays, PremiAir Nulon Racing has been thrilled to host two aspiring female engineers in its workshop as part of its partnership with the St Hilda’s School Foundation.
As a ‘Girls on Track’ partner of Motorsport Australia, the Gold Coast based team is committed to mentoring and guiding young women in their motorsport aspirations, and its alliance with the St Hilda’s School Foundation sees it take this commitment even further by actively providing additional invaluable experiences and opportunities for aspiring female engineers.
Across the September 2024 holidays, Year 12 student and St Hilda’s School Foundation Ammonite Grant recipients, Ava and Grace have spent a week each in the Arundel workshop under the mentorship of Romy Mayer – Race Engineer for the #31 PremiAir Nulon Racing Camaro – as the team prepares for the biggest race of the season.
Further, both of these highly talented and enthusiastic students will be on-track with the team for its critical pre-Bathurst 1000 test day at Queensland Raceway on Monday September 30.

It has been a great pleasure to have Ava and Grace in the workshop working with me over the past two weeks, and I am excited to have them on-track with us during our all-important Bathurst 1000 test day.

As such, our work with Girls on Track and the St Hilda’s School Foundation is very close to my heart and I highly value the opportunities these partnerships present to allow me and the rest of the team to mentor and support the female engineering and mechanical stars of tomorrow.
The St Hilda’s School Foundation was established to bring life changing opportunities to young women, their families and the community. Grants and internships are available to students entering Year 11 at the St Hilda’s School on the Gold Coast.
Each grant offers recipients the opportunity to complete a two-week internship, providing valuable experience and the potential to establish relationships or secure positions with the corresponding businesses upon graduation.
Notably, each grant also includes financial support, thanks to the generosity of donors to the St Hilda's School Foundation. This financial backing aids students in their endeavours, ensuring that the path to a successful future is as smooth as possible.
