2. You have had various roles at St Hilda’s - how do you like the changes between the roles?

Being a classroom teacher brings me immense joy. It allows me to form meaningful connections with my students, which is something I cherish deeply. I have a particular fondness for teaching Year 6 students because of the captivating curriculum we explore together, especially during our memorable trips to Canberra. Additionally, I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to teach Dance, as it allows me to nurture the creative aspect of my being and brings a sense of fulfillment to my soul.

3. What inspired you to become a teacher?

During my final year of high school, I viewed the film Dead Poets Society, which left a profound impression on me. It sparked a desire within me to make an impact on young peoples lives. I wanted them to think about their world, life and literature as a way of filling their souls and enriching their lives.

4. What do you love most about your job?

All the connections… I laugh every day!!!

5. What are your hobbies and interests outside of teaching?

I love to take my puppies for walks and hang out with my family and friends. My favourite thing is to travel. The world is an amazing place and exploring it makes me a better person

6. What inspires and motivates you day-to-day?

My family is my constant source of inspiration and motivation, shaping my daily outlook and fueling my aspirations. Their unwavering love, support, and encouragement provide me with a strong foundation to navigate life's challenges and pursue my dreams.

Every day, I am inspired by their resilience, determination, and unwavering belief in me. Their positive influence pushes me to strive for excellence in all aspects of my life, whether it's pursuing my career goals, engaging in personal growth, or contributing to the community.

I am a mum, a wife, a teacher, a friend….

8. What is your vision/goal for the future?
I hope that I can travel in the near future. I have missed seeing the world!
