Overview

The Betty and Sheila Daley, and Hutchinson Fittock Isolated Children’s Boarding bursaries are considered for girls from a remote area who demonstrate a strong desire to attend St Hilda’s School and whose families may require additional assistance to provide the opportunity for their girls to become a part of and contribute to the St Hilda’s School community in Years 7 and 10.

The Scholarship provides part remission of boarding fees, for the successful recipient.

Eligibility

It is expected that all Scholarship and Bursary Recipients will maintain a high level of achievement relevant to their Scholarship or Bursary and will consistently contribute and display commitment to St Hilda’s School life.

This encompasses regular attendance at training sessions/lessons and participating in relevant events as well as consistently representing self and school with honour and pride.

For recipients in Years 7 and 10, ongoing reviews of Scholarships and Bursaries will take place with a relevant member of St Hilda’s School staff. These reviews will discuss progress and performance and ensure that girls are feeling supported and able to meet expectations.

Boarding Bursary’s are awarded to families in financial need and parent eligibility to receive LAFHA will be considered. Parent financial statements may be requested.

Students applying for a boarding bursary are not required to sit the scholarship testing or register for EduTest.
